Peyton: The One (Short Story)

Image
Earlier today I posted that I would start writing short stories based on the characters from my books . I didn't know I would start so soon but the writing bug bit me tonight. The first story is told from Peyton's (the one from A Tragic Heart) POV. I thought, "Why not start with a fan favorite?" The short story is entitled, "The One" and takes off from the part in A Tragic Heart where he and Taylor comes back from their vacation with Mason in Australia. If "The One" belonged to a book it would fit right in with What Could've Been. It's an excerpt based on Peyton not going for a ride that night in A Tragic Heart. Enjoy! Listen to the song " Cherry " by Moose Blood while reading: https://soundcloud.com/nosleeprecords/moose-blood-cherry Peyton: The One                         It’s hard to believe in just a few short days I’ll be leaving her just to follow my dreams....

Something New Is Brewing...

Hey all! Very recently I posted onto my social media accounts that I was thinking about creating VERY short stories based on the characters from the RED Tragedies series. I wasn't sure if this was a good idea or not but I've decided to give it a go. Every so often I will post a new story equivalent to 1-2 pages based on one or more of my characters. These very short scenes will be based on various times of their lives and will not be written in any specific order. For example, you can read about 15 year old Peyton or 25 year old Peyton. You can read about Taylor's life with Peyton after A Tragic Heart (if it existed) and you can read about Taylor's life without Peyton. Basically, it's all for fun and games while giving you all an occasional dosage of the characters you've come to know and love. Most of it will be a day in the life of ___________. I will also provide a song to listen to while reading (more than likely the song that inspired me to write the sc...

Pretty Girls Music Review

BRITNEY'S BACK! Anyone who knows me knows that Britney is my favorite female pop star ever!! With that said, I was a little disappointed with the angle taken with Britney Jean (her last album) but from the sounds (and looks) her latest era will make up for that! Britney just released the first single to her upcoming legendary era and it's with none other than Iggy Azalea. This was a good call in my book being that Iggy is one of the hottest females in music right now. Not only was it a good look to collaborate with Iggy but the song is a straight up girls summer anthem! It's perfect for this time of year. The song has an old school funk/r&b beat and I completely approve. It sounds like old Britney is surfacing and it's exactly what fans and the public has wanted for so long. Britney has her classic whiny, sort of nasally, smooth yet coy vocals on the song. This is what every Britney fan has been waiting for! Pretty Girls is bound to be a hit nationwide and...

American Oxygen (Music & Video Review)

Image
Okay, so I know I'm late but I've been busy! The song was released over a week ago (basically two weeks now) and I've been listening to it since then, I just haven't had the chance to review it (which may be good because I can now review it with a clearer opinion). Anyway, check out my review below for one of Rihanna's new songs from her upcoming album (still called R8 for now), American Oxygen. Initially when I first heard American Oxygen I thought "hmmm, it's okay but it's not FourFiveSeconds or Kiss It Better" and while I do feel almost the same way, the song has grown on me a bit more. American Oxygen depicts the struggle of making it in America (as does the music video) and I think it's an important message for society, especially in times like now. Now, I've read it took about a year to write this song and at first I thought "why?" but after a few more listens I can see why. It's one of those songs you have to get ri...

It's Been A Month But....

Sorry I went away for a while without a word but a lot of new things happened to me so my schedule has been unusual and it took time to get used to it all. I haven't forgot about my duties as a writer and from now on I intend to keep up with my true career. Actually, in a way I have been keeping up with my writing career, just not through social media and the internet. For starters, I have a new logo and slogan that I posted below. I thought the tagline, " All love is a tragedy! " is very fitting for my novels/work. I believe even the greatest love is a tragedy because we leave ourselves wide open while firearms are pointing in our direction and we don't care if they're ready to shoot...all in the name of love! So yeah, that's where that came from... Anyway, on to something a tad bit more important than my tagline and new logo...my book shower! All is welcome, the more the merrier! It's all going to happen on June 20th from 2-5pm at 281 Babylon Turnpik...

The Best Book Signing You've Ever Been To!

I know I've been away for a while but I have a valid excuse. I've been planning a book signing that's bound to be like no other you've ever been to. It's a party, signing, and shower all in one, thus me giving it the title of a "Book Shower".  It'll sort of be like a baby shower with food, games, and prizes but books will be sold and signed as well. There will be a Q&A session and great surprises throughout the event (along with great surprises in everyone's favor boxes)! The prizes are something you don't want to miss out on. It's all going down on Saturday, June 20th from 2-5 pm at 281 Babylon Turnpike in Roosevelt, NY. Definitely make it if you can. There will be assigned seating so you can grab a ticket  so you won't miss out at the link below. I hope to see tons of people there. Don't be afraid to bring a friend, or two, or three... I'll keep you all updated! http://bit.ly/1BXPDCw
